How can someone begin a new year feeling so unmotivated, so lethargic, so unenthused about life?

Maybe it's just the thought of everything that needs to get done. It's funny how the more you have to do, the less you want to do it.

Is it just me, or is time running shorter and shorter?

I seem to find myself with more to do and less time to get anything done.

Life seem to whizz by me without so much as saying hi. (Except when I was up at Bundaberg with nothing much to do.)

Why is it so hard to get back to the daily grind? Isn't one supposed to enjoy life every single day, even when one isn't on holidays?

Then why am I just looking forward to retirement already?

The story goes that two people were walking down a beach and observed hundreds of landed starfish, seemingly in their last moments. One of the individuals picked up a starfish and threw it way back into the ocean. The other asked what point is there, there are hundreds of them, it will never make a difference. The reply - it will for that one.

Melody, as you go to the 12th gate this coming week you will be making a difference. I can't go to the 12th gate, but what you do will help me be informed about what my children are up to.

Thank you. You will make a difference for me.
